This how it happened.
Great drive off the tee splitting the fairway and the sound of his playing partners telling him what a great drive he has just hit
Sitting nicely on the fairway Alex goes through his pre shot routine (all good players have a pre shot routine).
Grip nice and loose, swing relaxed and easy, focus now and concentrate , visualise the flight and the landing area on the green, pick a spot and let the ball run gently up to the hole for a easy birdie putt.
AYE RIGHT DREAM ON
This is the real version.
Tee shot 200 yards to the left hand side of the fairway into that jaggy stuff - gone
Re load another ball and hits a good one but 3 off the tee.
Gets up to his ball.
"Get this on the green and a putt for a point" he tells himself
Nice and easy nice and easy
Playing 4 now he smacks this one 200 yards to the right hand side over the dunes and into the North Sea or the beach. Remember the dunes are about 60/80 feet high on this hole and it cleared them nice and easy.
The putter never even got the cover off it on that hole.
We have had enough bad language today and I give you the censored version.
