When he arrived home with the Spoon on Sunday night Simon was to embarrassed to tell his wife that he had finished last and the Spoon was his reward for getting 17 points.
So he tells her he played well and the wooden Hackers Spoon is actually a training aid to help with his putting stroke !

Arriving home last weekend Simon wasn't allowed over the front door by his wife Helen until he put on the Spoon Boy tee shirt and posed for the camera.

Mick "Funfair" Drummond wins the summer outing again.

Last years winner at Auchterader once again walked away with the trophy and successfully defended his title with 40 points. Runner up this year was last years runner up. Derek "Del Boy "Mitchell with 39 points. So a repeat of last years top 2 positions. In 3rd place this year was John "Hammy "Hamilton with 39 points beating George Leadbitter on count back for the 3rd place.

Nearest the pins in 2 went to Mick and Graham with Tommy and Andrew getting the 6th and 14th prizes.

Spoon Boy was Simon Jessney with a very poor 17 points on his own home course. There will be more to follow on Simon later in the week.
