FALKIRK SPOON BOY
2012
DAVIE REVIE
Congratulations to Davie on posting 5 rounds but unfortunately he only managed 22 points on Sunday and he walked off with the Spoon. Davie joined us at Crail in January and has played in every round since but with just achieving his 5th score at the weekend he only has 1 round left in which to improve his points total.
Davie is now sitting in bottom position on the Tour Leaderboard and he must now improve at Ladybank and dump his 22 pointer.
Just 1 point in front of Davie is Richard Aitken on 145 points. They are joined in the Donkey 4 ball with Kenny Lang and John Sommerville who both have 150 points.
Davie has 144 points but if he was to get 36 points at Ladybank he would go up to 158 points. Having played with him earlier in the Tour I know he is more than capable of scoring that number of points.
I reckon anyone with 158 points or less is be capable of winning the Donkey award for the season. Just because your not in the last 4 ball doesn't mean your safe and if the bottom 4 all play very well then somebody else could slip down into Donkey position.
So who is in Donkey territory if the 4 ball all get good scores ?
Jim Cullen 153
Scott Kennedy 155
S Jessney 158
S Gibson 158
The above 4 players are not out of the woods yet.
Just a wee reminder the Spoon has been won at Ladybank the last 2 years with 28 points !!!
Last year Hutch won it with 28 points. We had 36 players playing and the year before Gerry won it also with 28 points.
