This was a surprise winner for me and yet again proves anyone can win the Spoon apart from Stevie Paul and Paul James- they will never win the Spoon.
I met Scott on the 13th and he asked if I had heard of any poor scores in the other games. Once I told him George Leadbitter had only 12 on the 13th he said " Great I'm okay then I will beat that I'm not that bad".
Wrong !!
George made a great recovery and ended up with 27 points on the way back to the to clubhouse.
When word came into the bar that Scott had only 26 points we had to pick Stevie Paul up off the floor and take him to the changing rooms as he had pissed himself with laughter.
Stevie was convinced it was a wind up and Scott had 36 points.
Wrong !!
Yes the Montrose Spoon Boy 2011 was awarded to Scott Kennedy and he will sit alongside a large group of other Top Table Spoonies at the Christmas Spoon Table.
This table will also have 10 winners of a Winter Tour event as that is how many have won the Spoon and a actual round also.
This table will have nearly half of all attending at it and a full list of Spoonies will appear soon. If you can't wait to see who is going to be sitting at the Spoonie Table there is a full list of Spoon winners since 08 on the right hand side of the web site.
Lets not forget that there is possibly still a place for one more depending who wins it a Mar Hall. Will it be won by a existing member of the Spoonies or will they be welcoming another new member ??
At least Stevie and Paul don't have to worry about winning the Spoon. They are just to good to possibly win it !!!!
