This little post is to introduce the Scottish Hackers to our newest member.

Don and Linda Duffy from Chicago are very good friends who we meet up with in Florida a few times each year. Don also kindly gave us his condo for the boys to stay in when we were over in October golfing. Danny, Gerry and Tommy stayed in his condo ( apart from the time when Danny and Tommy tried to move into the condo 4 levels below by mistake).

In our final round of golf last week, we played for an American spoon and Don was the winner by 1 point from Craig.

So Mr Duffy was the spoon boy for that day.

Like most of the Hackers we have given Don a nickname . It was originally the "Landlord" due to him giving us the use of his condo. It was then changed to "The Shoplifter".

This is because on our way home from golf last Thursday we stopped at a supermarket and while I was at the check out, Don came running up asking for the car keys as he had left his money in the car. He grabbed the keys and charged off towards the door - with food in his arms not yet paid for. Yes, he was spotted and stopped while escaping and had to return back and deposit the items before being allowed to exit for his wallet.

In his desperation to be adopted as a Hacker , Don turned up for the golf in his See You Jimmy hat.

Mr Don Duffy is our Honorary American Hacker.
