This is the water flowing from the Gadloch over to the new pipes that can be seen in photos further down. They have removed the pipe that was in place where the water is now flowing over in the picture.
The water was flowing very well at this point
Some 25 feet away are the new pipes that then take the water into a large catchment area and then into the old tunnel in the hillside. The blue pipe is an overflow if the smaller one is covered. As you can see it the water is flowing fast into it.
The 2 pipes closer up.
The other side of the 2 pipes where the water goes into a large catchment area that is covered with mesh for safety. At the far end is the inlet to the original tunnel going under the hillside and Crosshill Road.
Looking back towards the Loch where the water enters the 2 pipes.
Standing on the Ladies 5th tee looking up towards the Alma.
From the same 5th tee over towards the 4th green
The 5th and 18th fairways now just visible again as the water recedes.
The new 4th green bedding in and the collars being top soiled ready to turf.
Bunker on the 4th at the front with drainage in the middle.
Sides all ready for turf and you can see the green staff were rolling the turf on the green this morning. The lines are clearly visible on the green.
Front of the green.
The sand is now being spread and levelled on the 4th fairway ready to turf.
The lines from rolling the green today clear to see.
Ready for the next stage.
