CRAIL WINNERS

CRAIGHEAD COURSE
2014
CHAMPION
MARK McMILLAN

Mark McMillan was the winner with 38 points in tough conditions

In second place was Davie Revie with 36 points

Current Tour leader Davy Graham improved his best 5 by 2 more with 36 points

A nearest the pin finished off a good day for Mark

Marks dad Bill grabbed the other nearest the pin making it a real family day out
Another cracking day for the Hackers

Looking back up the first fairway on a glorious morning

Yesterday was our 8th round of the winter and by postponing last weeks round for 7 days we got a reasonable day for hacking around the Links. The winds were about 15mph and along with some horrendous pin position scoring was tough for most.

The best score was 38 points with young Mark McMillan taking the sweep and getting a good score for his 4th round this winter. It was good day for Mark as he also took a nearest the pin prize. The other nearest the pin was won by his dad Bill but it wasn't just sweep winnings that went down the road in the Eastwood Boys car. There will be more on that matter latter.

The last time Davie Revie played up at Crail he walked off with the Spoon. This visit he grabbed second place with 36 points. He must have improved after I watched him on the 4th. He shanked a 5 wood 150 yards straight right and then topped his next 10 yards further into the rough. Sign of a good player recovering from that or was it the good breakfast they had at the Chimneys?

In third place was Mr Steady and current Tour leader Davy Graham. David has been in the top 3 on numerous occasions this winter and his 36  points on Sunday netted him 2 more points on his best 5 total. He now leads last years Champion by 4 points.

The post below shows who are currently in the end of the Tour 4 Ball matches tho this can change very quickly.

Next round is on the 16th of March and is provisionally booked for Powfoot. More details will follow soon on that round.

That will just leave Ladybank for our final round.

Last year we lost Ladybank to the snow so lets hope all is good this year. Two years ago we all got sunburnt as the temperature nearly hit 70 degrees at the end of March on the same course.
