HE'S BACK !!

We had the pleasure of Vera James returning on Sunday after his lay off with a sore knee/hip/head/nose/wrist and whatever else was wrong with him. It changed daily over the last 3 months.

Yesterday he came out and showed us all that "we are all shite" and hobbled away with first prize thanks to a impressive 40 points.

Unfortunately for us he's back and the peace is shattered.

With his earlier rounds added to his 40 yesterday he is now on 144 for 4 rounds and could be a very dark horse come the end of March.

Runner up was Ian Fox with 37 points and the defending Champion closed the gap on big VG to just 6 points.

In third place was Stuart McPherson with 36 points and that score moved Stuart well up the league table.

The nearest the pins were Billy Gibson and Foxy.

Thanks to Ian Baird for collecting the sweep money and presenting the prizes. Photos supplied by Steven Gibson.

EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE A COPY OF THE EXCEL SHEET WITH ALL THE SCORES FROM YESTERDAY. IF NOT JUST LET ME KNOW.

SPOON BOY WAS TOMMY NICHOLSON WITH JUST 18 POINTS IN THE LAST GAME IN

Foxy and Geraldo both pulled back shots on the current Tour leader and Championship favourite big VG. So the top of the table looks a bit tighter now.

Still a lot of points out on the courses to be got. Both Foxy and Geraldo have a poorer score to dump than Davy and that can be significant in the last few rounds.

I think scoring could be tough in the next few rounds with Craighead being the toughest course on our Tour especially if the wind blows. If I manage to get the SGU tee times on the Castle then points will be hard to pile up there due to the tricky greens and its exposed setting.

At the bottom in Donkey 4 Ball position we had Brian Newall and Andrew Alexander moving out of the bottom 4 due to Davy Nimmo and SPOON BOY posting their 5th scores and finding themselves sitting in HE HAW territory.

That 4 Ball can change very quickly as they all have some really poor rounds to get rid of and one good round can get them well out of it.

Next round is the 23rd of February at Crail on the Craighead Course. It is currently full with 32 players and most have paid a deposit.
