Two rounds to go and still plenty of points for all of us to boost our positions. Most people have some poor scores to dump and one good round can see you jump a good few places.

I phoned St Andrews Links tonight on the way down the road tonight to check availability for the Eden. At this stage it is not looking possible but I need to speak to advanced reservations in the morning. Unfortunately there is a competition on that day from 7am till 11.44am. So I don't see it happening.

The other course I am looking at is one of regular courses tho we didn't go last year and that is Powfoot Golf Links. Only 1 hour 20mins away and mostly motorway. We normally get a good rate and it is currently showing £23 each but I should maybe get that down to £20 for our numbers. It rises to £46 from the 23rd of March so we might get in just before the season rise.

Powfoot Golf Links is a good test of golf and the greens are usually very good. A tough course if the wind blows but one we have always enjoyed in past visits.
