BAIRDY GALLOPS
OFF
AND AVOIDS
BECOMING A TRIPLE
SPOONER
Ian was the leader in the club house in the race to pick up the Spoon on Sunday and if he had remained there he would have became a triple Spoony.
Lucky for him his brother in law Brian Murphy limped into the club with only 20 points and he was followed by Gary Mc Gill also on 20 points. With a poorer back 9 it looked like the Spoon was heading back in the Kilsyth boys car for the second time this season( Andrew Alexander winning back in Oct).
Then in came the last game with Shanky Nicholson to the rescue and saved the day for the 20 point men.
Spoon went back down the road to East Ren with Tommy.
For most of the afternoon it looked like the Crow wood Mafia were heading home with the Spoon and Ian looks delighted in the above photo to have avoided another Spoon to his name.
Ian will need to improve his game quickly as he's currently stuck in the Donkey 4 Ball game and could be taking home the Donkey prize for the season if he doesn't get some good points on the board.
