CRAIL LINKS
THE
BALCOMIE COURSE
2013
17th November 2013
Round 3
Winter Tour 2013/14
The weather all week had been shocking but as we headed up the coast to Crail on Sunday you would have thought it looked like a summers day. Yes it was cool but it is November and with hardly a breath of wind it was looking good for some decent scores.
It was certainly a day for scoring and from the results below you will see only 3 players never got 30 or more points.
The winner of round 3 was Geraldo with a total of 40 points beating Foxy on count back. Gerry had a back 9 of 20 and Ian 17. Foxy will be kicking himself as a poor 3 putt on the last cost him a point and a win. Last years Tour winner was in great form on the front 9 with 23 points.
Gerry is now starting to hit some form after a poor few rounds in Florida and his "coach " Sinky seems to have got him hitting the ball high and straight with few wee tips. The Cullen boys are always sniffing about the prizes with Jim getting the Spoon in round 2 and now Geraldo winning round 3.
In 3rd place was Graham Dickie beating the Florida champion and round 2 winner Davy Graham on count back . Both had 39 points.
Nearest the pins were Gary McGill and Mick Drummond.
SPOON BOY was the Tour Leader after 2 rounds and a former SPOON winner DAVIE REVIE. He won the Spoon with 28 points beating Scott Wylie to the Spoon. Both had 28 but Scott had 15 on the back 9 Davie only had 13.
More to follow on the Spoon Boy later.
Thanks to AlexSmart and Davie Drew for collecting the sweep and food money.
Everyone should have received a copy of the spread sheet with the running totals. If not let me know.
