Blue sky and glorious sunshine

As we all look out our windows this morning it's hard to remember just how good the weather was this time last year. Our Final last year was played in fantastic conditions with the temperature creeping towards 80 degrees.

12 months on and were are we ?

The same place we have been since Christmas. Stuck with a cold easterly wind bringing all sorts of shit down on us. We have had the odd day here and there but in general its been a battle to try and get the rounds in that we managed to play.

Even as far back as the Christmas round it was touch and go to get Dundonald playable as it had been frozen all week. So far this winter we have managed just 7 rounds.

After the New Year it all went down hill and we have cancelled 3 rounds now and had to reschedule another.

So this years Final will now be played on the 26th of May at St Michaels. Everyone was emailed yesterday and informed of the cancellation and the new date.

This is the fairest option and means everyone has a chance of playing as more and more people were having to pull out if it went ahead next week. Three more players pulled out on Thursday night including 2 of the donkey 4 ball and we can't have that !

So the plan is to play the Final as normal but in May.

It is currently Full at 32 players.

The list was posted earlier in the month.

Same deal we had in the winter to play the course.

Ladybank is certainly not looking like this today
