SCOTTISH LINKS GOLF IN DECEMBER !!!

On Sunday we had unbelievable weather for our 4th round at Lundin Links. Calm conditions and warm sunshine set the course up for good scoring and most players once again got some solid points.

Only 5 players didn't get more than 30 points and Davie Drew came within a single point of equalling Sinky's 43 point record.

Davie pitched into the hole on the last from 50 yards with his 3rd shot and in doing so went from 38 points to 42 and won by a single shot from Billy Gibson and Simon Jessney.

Billy was solid with 21 points on the front 9 and 20 on the back 9. Simon went out in a fantastic 26 points but slipped on the back 9 with just 15. Simons 26 I think is now the record for 9 holes as the only score I had a record of was my own 24 points at The King James in 2008 when I shot the Summer record of 42 points. If anyone has had more than that they can let me know.

So at this moment Simon now is the official 9 hole total record holder with his 26 points.

Nearest the pins went to Div Nimmo  and Steven Gibson.

SPOON BOY was Scott Wylie with 22 points and he was a comfortable winner of the SPOON by a clear 6 points.

DR  "Anyway, I don't need to eat a big breakfast to avoid the Spoon."

DR "There's no way I'm winning the Spoon. To be a Tour Leader means I'm playing solid consistent
         golf and the Spoon ain't on ma fucking radar."

GL "Davy, your golf can be red hot and utter shite 6 hours apart."

DR  "Not now wee man. Mr Consistent that's me fucking number 1 and Tour Leader."

DR  "Another good round today will put me in the driving seat and extend my lead. That's me the
          fucking Tour  Leader and Mr Consistent. Happy days are here to stay."

DR "This is a fucking nightmare going home with this fucking Spoon. How the fuck did I get it?"

GL  "You got it Davie because Scott Wylie beat …."

DR "Shut the fuck up Dodi!"

GL "Thought you were Mr Consistent now Mr Revie. Fucking happy days."

AS "Maybe it was the extra black pudding you had Davy?"

         to miss a lot of putts because of it."

AS  "Maybe Robert will forget to put your photo on the web site."

DR  "That bastard will give me pelters. Just watch and see come Wednesday night the whole world
          will be able to see I'm Spoon Boy again."

AS  "Roberts no like that. Maybe it will just be a wee picture and it will be lost among the other
         winners."

GL "I don't think your picture should be in with the winners. You ares a loooooser and should have
        your own post. I need to phone Robert and suggest that one."

AS "No he keeps it a lot smaller now. He doesn't seem to rip into anyone much now about winning the

DUNVEGAN HOTEL

ST ANDREWS

This years Christmas Bash will be at St Andrews.

We are struggling to get on members courses before 11 and Leven were only letting us out at 11am and last game 11.50am. We would never have got everyone round before it gets dark.

So we have decided to moved the Kittocks round to the 15th of December and Leven will now be on the 19th of January.

I have got the same golf deal for the Kittocks as we had on the Torrance a few weeks ago.

Our first tee time will be 9.20am !!!

Why is it so early?

The last game out is 10.30 and they say we need to allow 4hrs 30 min. That means the last  game will be finishing at 3pm. Sun set is 3.30pm. If it is a dull day it can be getting dark at 3. So they we must start at 9.20 for everyone to get around.

I have booked the private dining room at the Dunvegan Hotel down in St Andrews for a 3 course Christmas dinner. The Dunvegan is a 9 iron away from the 18th of the Old Course.

We used to use the Dunvegan Hotel a lot for meals after the golf but the last time was 5 years ago after a summer round up at the Kittocks. Once you finish your round just head down to the hotel. Dinner will be served once everyone is there.

I WILL ASSUME EVERYONE WHO HAS ENTERED LEVEN WILL NOW BE PLAYING THE KITTOCKS AND HAVING DINNER AFTERWARDS.
