BRIAN SWEEPS TO VICTORY IN THE SUNSHINE
This years summer championship was won by Brian Newall with 39 points. He was closely followed by Dodi and Davie Revie with 38 and 36 points each.
A good win for Brian and with us playing off the white tees it was very good scoring.
Overall it was a great day out with the course in good condition and everyone seemed to enjoy the trek around the Fife countryside.
The food at the club house is possibly the best we have ever had on any golf outing and the staff also were superb. A great bowl of spicy soup and some large plates of tasty sandwiches started the day followed by a superb choice of dishes for dinner after hacking up the course.
The wee bonus at the end of the day was the large plates of homemade scones and cream cakes with tea and coffee which brought a smile to everyones face - even Smarty who was chucking golf (yes again !!!) after floundering about the course all day.
So much so as we left the club house he was organising a game for the next day after abandoning his clubs in the club refuge bin just 1 hour earlier.
Amazing how a wee cream cake rekindles the spirit.
A great day out and all food and golf for £30 !!
Fantastic value

"Unofficial" Spoon Boy
Andrew Alexander
Yes Andrew won the Spoon but we didn't have it with us. Last years Donkey seems to be in the same place after a summers golf but I'm sure he will sort it out before defending his Donkey title this winter.
Andrew is now a 2 time winner of the Spoon - unofficial or not !!
