The guys last night at the Salt Rock Grill.

It is now 2 weeks since we left Sand Key Beach Clearwater and over the next few days I will post some photos of our trip to the USA.

This trip started early 2000 and apart from the last 2 years it was always a annual whack around the courses in Florida. Up until 2008 all our trips were based in Orlando where there is a huge choice of courses and amenities.

In 2008 I bought a beach condo in Sand Key and since then we have based ourselves just South of Clearwater.

This years trip had 5 new courses as well as some of our favourite ones we play each year.

We use the same format each year with the Singles being your best 5 scores from the 8 rounds.

We also run alongside that a Ryder Cup style competition played over 36 holes at World Woods. We split into 2 teams of 4 and  in the morning its pairs and in the afternoon 4 singles matches. This is a great day with 36 holes on 2 of the best courses in Florida. Both are ranked in the top 50 in the States and Pine Barrens is in the top 10.

Our final day is always a pairs comp with both stableford scores being added together. This year it was at Tampa TPC where the greens were rolling at 11 on the stimp. They were like lightning.
