Another wee Jim Cullen story.
Running in from work and a quick change oor Jim set off for the Club to take part in the Tuesday medal.
Stepping out into the car park he headed off in the direction the club bar only to find himself drawn towards the course by some mysterious power. "Why am I walking to the right when I want to go straight" he was asking himself. I've no had a pint yet or in any great rush to NR up the first - what was this powerful draw to the course.
Stopping he looked down at his feet to see he had 2 right handed shoes on and also different styles. The powerful draw to the right was two right shoes.
This was spotted by all the wee juniors who all started walking like penguins and imitating him. Not ideal preparation for the medal.
Jim might have had the same shoes on but his score was certainly a game of two different halfs.
A very impressive front 9 with just 37 shots was quickly followed with a awesome 51 on the back 9. This resulted in a net 66 - what a round it could have been.
